There’s So Much to Be Grateful For This Season: A Letter to My Clients, Friends, and Peers

As we gather around the table with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I am reminded that there is much to be grateful.

This season of gratitude offers a perfect opportunity to pause and reflect on the relationships that make all the difference.

First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to you -- my valued partners, colleagues, and friends. Foothills Capital would not exist without the trust, collaboration, and mutual respect we’ve built together. Whether it’s navigating complex financial puzzles, discussing economic and market trends, or simply exchanging ideas over coffee, our interactions are the fuel for creative solutions for clients' problems.

As I think about the meaning of Thanksgiving, three core themes stand out: family, health, and community.

Family
I cherish my own family for their unwavering support and encouragement. Without their support, Foothills Capital Advisory would have never gotten off the ground.

Health
This year has reminded me how important it is to prioritize health and well-being. Without taking care of our own physical health, we cannot do the important work to ensure the financial health of our client's businesses.  I welcome anyone to join me in renewing a commitment to overall health and fitness - both physically, mentally and emotionally.

Community and Collaboration
Finally, Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the spirit of community. The relationships we’ve built together are far more than transactional; they are the foundation of something bigger—a network of support, innovation, and shared purpose -- to support the great businesses and business owners we call our clients. (See the bottom of this post for a shameless plug for one of mine!)

As we approach the close of another year, I am excited about what the future holds. Foothills Capital Advisory remains committed to being a trusted partner as we navigate whatever the economy throws at us in 2025.

Thank you for being one of the people that makes my life and work more meaningful.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, joyful, and healthy Thanksgiving season. May it be filled with laughter, delicious food, and the kind of gratitude that makes life truly special.

With appreciation and best wishes,
Nabil Istafanous

Shameless Plug for Kickee

Speaking of great clients, I wanted to bring attention to a current client that I have been privileged to meet -- Kickee.  Aerin and Nick, the founders, are an amazing couple who had the courage to pioneer infant clothing made out of a fine bamboo textile that is soft, luxurious, hypo-allergenic and eco-friendly - well before it was "fashionable." For the last 20+ years, they have continued to innovate and expand to multiple categories including kid's, women's and men's pajamas, undergarments, bedding, blankets and clothing for the entire family. I became hooked when I recently received my first order!  Check out their website for many unique gifts for every member of your extended family. Your loved ones will thank you as they wrap themselves in the same velvety-smooth fabric that has been soothing babies for over two decades!
